Horseman and Altar

Horseman and Altar

Sanjaya Priyadarshana - Udugampola
2022-June

A long way to altar now
fairly unfair walk of distance
Mares are like that
“Be fair and my best”
She nodded and didn’t believe me
she eloped with my shadow
Unpredictable sun dwindles his shines
Moon half way wakes bobbing out
much more difficult faculty to visit there
but it’s smiling, my aim
wouldn’t she be a mirage?
I see my aim ambiguously,
the altar, in my sweet dreams
it would be a long way walk now
a lonely night and day walk
under the scorching sun and sullen moon
Surely a long way
