He came into my life
And swept me off my feet
I felt alive
& my heart skipped a beat
But it was not meant to last
He left in a blast
I am still picking up the pieces
As I fondly remember his kisses
I thought I had found my soulmate
But he had found another date
It’s a lesson I learnt
For caring from the heart
I will not stress
But be blessed
And live in hope
As I learn to cope
And be patient
As I wait
For new love
