වසන්තය අවසන්‍ ය,
ගිම්හානය ද ගොසිනි.
එළඹ ඇත්තේ නොදැන,
ශීත සෘතුවයි අදුරු.

ගයන්නට සිතා සිටි,
ගීය තව ගැයුවෙ නැත.

සුසර කරණා ලෙසින්,
වීනාවෙ තත් සොදින්,
බොහෝ කල් ගෙවී ඇත.

වහා ගයනුය ගීය.
හඩ දුබල වන්න පෙර,
අසන්නන් සවන් යුග,
බිහිරි වනු පෙරාතුව.
