Now I know your tears
I thought
It was my harsh words
your confession
awakened the bitter truth
it must have been
a devastating blow
and sorrow that followed
deep inside your little heart
you kept hiding.
My words like knives
may have pierced the tight lid
what overflowed was
uncontrollable sadness
you kept bottled up
with humanly difficult effort
while giving a pleasant smile
to everyone around
I am relieved
that I am not the culprit
but I am moved by your loss
to the edge of t he tears
I travel back down the memory lane
what I would have done
under such circumstances
I am sure that
I wouldn”t have had the
same courage
I bend my head to you
little thing
for the courage and the strength
to hold such a load
in your little frame
without giving a hint
to friends and relatives
Dear little courageous
life is a mix bag
things come and go
sometimes it is painful
pain slowly dissolves
scars might remain
for a long time to come
