We could here it from our trench room ..
Whilst eating cold can food !
Pesky rats go here and there..
But dogs carry messages everywhere..
Keeping diaries about our life..
hearing news about our friends die ..
But trying not to cry ..
As waiting our friends lay ..
This might be the end of the day..
… BANG …!!!
